What is TheWorkPact?

TheWorkPact is a simple agreement and record-keeping platform for real-world work. Users can create offers, agree on work, record sessions, settle outcomes, and keep shared records.

Who is TheWorkPact for?

TheWorkPact is designed for tutors, freelancers, home service providers, independent workers, recurring clients, and neighborhood services.

How does TheWorkPact work?

Create an offer, agree on the work through a request, record the session, settle the outcome, and keep a shared record on a tab.

Workflow

What is an Offer?

An Offer describes a service you provide or need. It can include details such as title, description, rate, location, and availability.

What is a Request?

A Request is used to start an agreement. The other party can accept, reject, or propose changes before work begins.

What is a Session?

A Session records work that was performed. Sessions can be scheduled and may include check-in and check-out records.

What is a Settlement?

A Settlement records the outcome of a completed session. Both parties can review and agree on the final amount before it is added to a tab.

What is a Tab?

A Tab is a shared ledger between two users. Tabs help keep track of balances, settlements, and payment confirmations.

Payments

Does TheWorkPact handle payments?

No. TheWorkPact does not process, hold, transfer, or guarantee payments. Users arrange payments independently using any method they choose.

Why doesn't TheWorkPact process payments?

TheWorkPact focuses on agreements, records, and transparency. Keeping payments outside the platform keeps the product simple and globally accessible.

What happens after a settlement?

Once both parties agree on a settlement, it can be added to a shared tab. The tab records balances and payment confirmations between users.

Trust & Ratings

What is the Trust page?

The Trust page provides visibility into a user's activity and reliability. It summarizes completed work, ratings, and other public trust indicators.

How are ratings calculated?

Ratings are submitted after completed sessions. Only users who participated in a session can leave ratings.

What does reliability mean?

Reliability metrics help users understand historical behavior such as completed sessions, agreements reached, agreement not reached, and closed tabs.

PRO Features

What features are available with TheWorkPact PRO?

TheWorkPact PRO provides additional visibility, organization, and convenience tools for users who rely on TheWorkPact regularly.

What is History?

History provides access to extended records of requests, sessions, settlements, and tabs.

What is Analytics?

Analytics provides visibility into activity, time worked, settlement totals, and other usage insights.

What are Notifications?

Notifications help users stay informed about requests, sessions, settlements, tabs, and other important events.

What is Availability?

Availability helps users communicate when they are typically available, including same-day availability, weekdays, evenings, and weekends.

Why are these PRO features?

The core TheWorkPact workflow is available to everyone. PRO features provide additional visibility, convenience, and organization tools for frequent users.

Privacy & Location

Does TheWorkPact track my location?

No. TheWorkPact does not continuously track user location.

How is location used?

Location snapshots may be recorded at check-in and check-out if location capture is enabled.

Can I disable location capture?

Yes. Location capture is optional and can be disabled in your profile settings.

Accounts

How do I reset my password?

Use the Forgot Password option on the sign-in screen. A password reset link will be sent to your email address.

How do I change my language?

Language preferences can be updated from your profile settings.

How do I change my currency?

Currency preferences can be updated from your profile settings.

How do I delete my account?

Please contact support@theworkpact.com for account deletion requests.
